GROUPS & FUNCTION BOOKINGS
The Jailhouse Grill is a restaurant – and as such is not set-up to
cater for large “functions” like weddings, trophy dinners,
engagements or any type of function where a PA and speeches are
desired.……but, we do cater for group bookings up 34 on Friday and
Saturday nights – and up to 55 from Sunday to Thursday nights
inclusive.
The restaurant’s tables are rectangular in the format of 2, 4 and 6
which can be joined together to make long tables seating up to 24
diners. There are four sections in the restaurant – the top section
seats 50 and is where the really large groups go along with groups
from 10 to 24. The bottom section has seven “booths” each seating 4
and the other tables can seat a 12 and a 10. A semi private function
room which can seat up to 24 on the one table and a smaller semi
private “cellar” room which can take up to 14 on the one table.
Set Price menus are offered to group bookings and can be viewed
here. One of the reason why the Jailhouse set
price menus are so popular is that there are 13 appetisers/starters
(including oysters), 14 mains and 5 desserts to choose from.
For special occasions – the area in which you are dinning can be
jazzed up with balloons, streamers and such prior to dinning.
As the Jailhouse Grill is a restaurant and offers a range of
desserts to finish of with….BYO cakes are not encouraged. In special
situations where BYO cakes are
pre-arranged there is a cakeage charge
of $2.50 per person, or $25.00, whichever is the greater.

Confirmations - for
groups of 10 or more please confirm your numbers at least 24
hours prior. If there is no confirmation or you cannot be
